Default Orpheum, looks like a Strad-O-Lin, on FB marketplace...

Asking $300, I think I will look at it in person tomorrow. If it sounds goods, seems like a fair price and an upgrade from my low end Kentucky. Will try and see if I can tell if the top is ply or solid. Binding looks painted on, non-adjustable bridge. Front is a bit dinged up. Matching pick guard and end plate cover! Tuners may be replacements?

Yes, it's a Stradolin. The pickguard and cover are original.

I turned down a similar price on a similar Orpheum/Strad a few years ago, because I was on an austerity kick. Have regretted it since. It sounded very, very good for its "value."

I've owned two branded like that with the same pickguard and tailpiece cover. They are Strad-O-Lin genre mandolins. One was fine, the other needed to have the tuners post holes re drilled.

The top will be solid, the flame may be faux.

Well, I bought it for the asking! It looks cooler in person than in the photos - the dings are understated compared to the wood. The edges are pretty beat up, but doesn't seem in too much danger of the back separating. No rattles when tapping or playing. I've just loosened the pretty old strings and moved the bridge as the intonation was not right. I have too much to do at work to keep messing around, but it really sounded very sweet before I took the tension down. I'll probably bring it back to full tension and see how it sounds intonated properly, and then swap the strings this weekend!
