Tonight, I was restless and couldn't sleep. Decided to pick up one of my mandos and start picking. well, the case was there, but nothing inside the case. One of the current roommates, who is being kicked out, has already stolen another roommates guitar and openly admitted to being a kleptomaniac. She is believed to be the culprit at this time.

i guess there is one positive out of this situation - i've found a new hobby, visiting every single pawn shop in the los angeles area...

OK to post this here but not very many people are going to see it. Post it in the classifieds under the Lost/Stolen category as we have a bunch of programming tools that take it from there and scatter the information all over the web, social media, etc. The coverage will be 100 x greater.

I'm across the country from you but I too wish you best of luck. In my opinion an instrument theft should be a capital offense. I know with the exception of my wife and kids my instruments, even though none are really expensive as instrument go, are the most important things on my house.

I had a similar situation. The police suggested visiting pawn shops. I didn't find my guitar, but I did find a 1958 Gretsch Duo Jet with original case for $250, which was a lot better than the one that got stolen!
