    Default Can someone tell me the year for FON 3366?

    It's an a style...as far as I can see from looking at the label it is just A (as opposed to A2 or A4 for instance, but it is hard to see...appears to have been written in pencil) The # on the label is 33344. Trying to get an idea of it's age and potential value.

    FON's were reused. Keep that in mind. The Spann book is missing some FON's as well. A picture always helps.

    Getting close. In 1916 3366 was an A-1 mandolin. In 1940 3369 was a guitar.

    There is a mandolin in the Mandolin Archive with that 3366 FON and the serial number 33329. Yours is going to be someplace in the 1916 year I suppose. Can you post a picture?

    Spann also says 1916 on both counts.
