    Default Asturias - Isaac Albeniz

Asturias a.k.a. Leyenda, as played by the Kerman Quartet.

A talent for trivializin' the momentous and complicatin' the obvious.

It transcends the mandolin and becomes music.

This is a fine rendition of a piece I know from the playing of Ana Vidovic..
And I'll refrain from asking "how many mando players does it take..." because it's 5 fingers against 4 picks.

Ha ha ha ! when I saw the video, I thought: four mandolin family instruments playing a piece for one guitar...well, for piano, but nowadays is an essential piece of the classical guitar repertoire.

It can be recast many different ways. There is a video of this played solo mandolin and orchestra.

A rare and famous case where the arrangement is far more idiomatic than the original. For all its glory, the piano simply doesn't have the one mechanical functionality that is commonplace on the guitar: the ability to play the same note on different positions on the instrument.
