    There is something here that I haven't heard in a long time.....a richness in tone and energy that I can't quite describe. Excellence regardless.

    This note just in from Acoustic Disc:

    I was able to get permission to offer the hi-def download version of Pickin' prior to 11/3. Regular mp3 and cd quality still not available until 11/3.

    I'm fairly sure I read somewhere that Tommy doesn't read notation. Perhaps he has the song written out with the chords, because he is definitely following something on the music stand

    I can't wait to hear their version of Sweet Georgia Brown.

    That is sweet. Great recording of Tipsy Gypsy as a duo. I love that tune recorded with Stephane Grappelli & DGQ on the DGQ-20 disc set.
    PS- Can anyone tell me what the picking pattern is from 1:06-1:16? Love that!
    At first I thought it was Jesse McReynolds style, but it is more than that, it sounds like to me.
