Despite the ser.#, Charles, are you sure that F9 is from 1990? The F9 model was launched in January 2002, and your F9 looks more like 2004 or thereabouts.
The earlier-production F-9's were a solid brown color. Somewhere around 2006-2007 or so, Gibson changed the top finish to a sunburst, like this one has. They stayed that way until the flood ended production for a while.
But sumthin' ain't right about that serial number.
I think a call or note to Danny Roberts could clear things up.
