Question Trying to find my first mandolin

Hi, I am from Greece and really want to buy a mandolin. I was thinking to buy rogue rm but no site ships to Greece (and when it does the shipping fee is almost the cost of the mandolin). Could you please suggest me any site where I can find an inexpensive mandolin that ships to Greece?
    Thank you in advance!

My recommendation is to get the absolute best you can afford. You wont regret it. As far as whomships to Greece I'm an unsure.

Thomann, the big German mail/on-line seller, ships to Greece; here's the Thomann Greece mandolin section. Quite a few pages, mostly accessories and parts, but quite a few European mandolins of the "Portuguese" style, some Asian-made that are more like the ones played in the US, even a Gibson F-5G listed (wonder if they have one in stock?).

I'd check out something like the Loar LM-220, which at least has a solid top. Thomann probably doesn't offer much in the way of shop set-up, so you might either learn how to do that, or find a local instrument shop that will at least check the factory set-up for proper alignment.

Here's a nice Cretan mandolin for what looks like a reasonable price ... to bad it is in the U.S.
