    Default Duke mandolin

Has anyone heard about that brand?

There is one currently on sale:

I have not heard of that brand, but the scroll work and f holes seem to be a " bit" off standard design.

Sounds like a potential member of the ugly scroll group.

Kawaii/Teisco in Japan produced instruments labeled "Duke." Here's a quote from the Spinditty website, research article on Made In Japan Badged Guitars, 1950-80:

<take it elsewhere. not welcome here>

This mandolin is on French eBay, so Duke could be a Japanese brand sold in Europe. Seems likely.
