    Default Milwaukee Irish Fest

This is billed as the biggest Irish festival in the U.S. Lots of great acts. This years theme is Irish Trad from Dublin's Temple Bar district. Five large stages and half a dozen smaller venues. Besides music there is Ceili and step dancing, Irish language and history lessons.

We are heading down this morning for the fourth and last day of festivities. I have not been able to see and hear everything on the schedule.

Acts include We Banjo 3, Eileen Ivers, Cuig, Aoife Scott, Frankie Gavin, Paddy Keenan Liz Carroll, Pauline and Mick Conneely, Dervish, Scythian, Skerryvore, Goitse, Gaelic Storm, Young Folk, Open the Door for Three, Drowsy Lads, Makem & Clancy, plus a host of local talent.

    Great fun.

Looks like a great time. My fiddler buddy and her band usually play the first day in the smallest tent -- she said it's a wonderful festival.

    Randi,
