    Default cleaning out

So my wife and I are purging a lot of our belongings ahead of a move this fall. I discovered, in the attic, a collection of 30+ "Frets" magazines from the mid 80's, a group of "guitarmaker" mags from the A.S.I.A org from the mid 90's and a pile of Guild of American Luthiers mags.
The question is do I throw them in the recycle bin and be done with it or should I post them on craigslist for free? Is there any interest in old magazines?

I hope this does not go against posting guidelines.

I've seen old magazines advertised periodically, some here. There must be some level of interest.

They might garner some interest here on the Cafe classifieds.

There's a picture of me on the back cover in a GHS string ad playing my Guild D-25M, I look like I'm ten! I was 18 or so!
Sorry, that was "Pickin'" magazine but, they may have used to some other places as well.

Surely someone will want them. Put them on craigslist, freecycle, or some other place where they will be seen. Heck, you might even try eBay first. If someone wants to cover the cost of shipping, they might purchase these magazines. You'll get a wider audience that way.

I sure hate seeing stuff like this thrown in the trash, although I do understand why people can't continue to hang on to old stuff forever. But if nothing else, it would be neat to tuck it away in a hidden corner of the attic so that a future owner can find it in 50 years.
Keep that skillet good and greasy all the time!

I see what you did there!

It turns out all I had to do was mention it to a friend here in town who is a talented musician and luthier, he is thrilled to take it all off my hands. I am happy for him to have it. Win Win.
