    Default Could anyone tell me what kind of pick this is?

    I bought this from the classifieds a year or two ago. It has no identifying markings. I think it was described as pearloid. You can see the layers of plastic on the pick easily.

    Mandroid, yes, I think the word "ivoroid" was used in the description. Do you know the maker?

    Looks like my Gilchrist ivoroid pick, except mine is a triangle. Maybe somebody modified it? Not sure who makes the Gilchrist picks, though.

    Same shape as a Wegen but clearly a different material.

    Greg Boyd used to sell grained-ivoroid picks, & always shows at Wintergrass. Easy for some of those to be around the PNW. Nice sounding picks

    Thanks, that's good information, doc holiday. Yeah, I like the sound. I bought two of them and plan on donating one to the traveling pick collection.

    Agree, it looks like the picks Greg Boyd sold. I "think" they are casein, the same material Red Bear and a few other makers use.
