Kent was a brand of Japanese imports in the '60s and '70s. Nothing at all to do with Kent Armstrong.

No complaints about Japanese quality electronics from me.

Where was the DeArmond "Monkey on a stick" made?
How do these rival brands compare?

My thanks to Jeff! I'll Betcha he knows.

I'm not commenting on the quality, just pointing out that there's no connection. DeArmond pickups were built in Toledo, OH.

No Bats in my belfry. I've got two Stradolins with cut-outs in their pickguards. Wonder how the'll sound.
