    Default What is this song?

I woke up with this little bit of song and can't remember what it is. THe piece in my head is something like:
If you could see, this misery
I know that you'd come back to me
There's no one else I'd rather have.....

I know many of you will know the song. Please let me know the title and I'll google the rest of the words Thanks so much!

I don't know it, but if you Google those lyrics you get this: "THIS IS THE GIRL I LOVE"

I don't think that's the song. There is a line "I'd be so proud to say.....I did look in Google for 'This is the Girl I Love, but that too is a different song. The song I'm looking for I believe was written by Cliff Waldron, but I'm not sure. I looked up his songs but didn't see it.

THIS IS THE GIRL I LOVE
about nine songs down - has all the lyrics you posted in #1 and #3. Writer not sited
fwiw I added the word "bluegrass" to the lyrics you posted in OP and googled it.

IF YOU COULD SEE THIS MISERY
I KNOW THAT YOU'D COME HOME TO ME
THERE'S NO ONE ELSE I'D RATHER HAVE
TO HAVE YOUR LOVE, I'D BE SO PROUD TO SAY
THIS IS THE GIRL I LOVE

IN A CHURCH ON A MOUNTAIN FAR FAR AWAY
    WE VOWED WE'D NEVER PART
I GAVE MY PLEDGE TO HONOR AND OBEY
AND THEN I BROKE YOUR HEART

WHAT CAN I DO DEAR, WHAT CAN I SAY
TO MAKE YOU CHANGE YOUR MIND
IF I CAN ONLY HAVE ANOTHER CHANCE
    I'D NEVER LEAVE YOU BEHIND

Mark, thanks so much for staying with this. I am very grateful to have this song for the next jam. Thanks, again,

On the actual YouTube page, if you scroll down and click below the video to get more info, it shows this:

"Greg Jones - Mandolin and Vocals
Jay Adams - Banjo and Vocals
Ronnie Edwards - Guitar and Vocals
Jacob Harbour - Bass and Vocals
    Daniel Greeson - Fiddle"

The YouTube page also gives a website for the band, so I went there to look around and found an "About Us" page (scroll down a ways) that says where the band is from. Lots of North Carolina mentions.

Carol McDuffie archives these videos on her You Tube channel. She has put together a cool collection of BG festival performances - many of them from the North Carolina area. The campground and front porch BG jam videos are my favorite
