Default Now THAT'S a killer mandolin!

We just got back from a 4 day cruise to Bermuda from NYC.
One event that often is held on cruises is the art auction, where you can bid on printed artwork by famous and not so famous artists. Anyway, this was one picture that was up for auction. Sorry about the sunspots on the glass over the print. Also, I tried rotating the photo the right work, but it still came out sideways. If anyone knows how to fix it,be my guest.

For sideways and upside-down pictures that look good on your computer then get turned once they're uploaded, here is my working theory and potential fix. I might be wrong, but until someone that knows what they're talking (i. e., Scott) about pipes up it's what I'm sticking with. Regardless of the cause, the fix should work in all cases.

I don't know if the moderator reply was intended to be snarky or not, as I see this problem regularly in ads and posts. Third time I've seen it this week in a post, and it's only Wednesday and I don't read every post.

Kinda makes it hard to play in first position, plus while she is looking off to the side, the rabbits are getting away!

Typical of most mammals - they're confusing it for a banjo...and obviously making a run for it.

It's a capo at the 5th fret, perfect for playing in mandola range. Then you shoot a rabbit, and you're back in GDAE.

Pretty sure its supposed to be a lute. I don't recall ever seaing a mandolin with that kind of soundhole carving. if it is a lute the bow is so you can shoot yourself when you get tired of trying spending more time tuning than playing.

Walt Kuhlman used to offer mandolins with soundhole carvings through his Kuhlman-Wolf collaboration. Their work was really quite beautiful. His passing was a real loss to the mandolin community.

I also seem to recall seeing soundhole inserts here on the Cafe, but I don't recall where they were made. It's been a while.
