    Default Tuners for a phone

What apps do folks have and like for tuning?

I need two. I have Pano installed and love it (it's set at A=415). The other one I have is set for A=440, and I don't love it. What are you using that's good, accurate, and easy to use? I did look at cloning apps, but can't find a how-to article written in fluent English, and they all look like a lot of trouble anyway.

Phone in question is an Android. Thanks.

Louise, can you change the 415 to 420? If you like it and can change to the standard others are using then it should work fine. I had one on my Android that I liked, but it seems to be missing so can't tell you what it was.

I use SoundCorset, although I prefer a real tuner.

I have insTuner and it works well for practice. I wouldn't use a phone tuner for a gig though.

I play (not mandolin!) in one group that tunes to Baroque pitch; the A=415 is necessary for that. I want another good tuner on my phone to keep at 440. The phone is usually with me, where a separate tuner could easily be at home or in another instrument's case when I need it.

I'll have a look at Sound corset and insTuner. Thanks.

Pano is very good, by the way, if anyone else is looking.

The Peterson Strobosoft tuner is one of the best tuner apps available for iPhone and Android.

I use the Peterson clip-on tuner and an older desktop model for mandolin and guitar, but lately I've been using the Strobosoft phone version to check tuning on my Irish flute, which doesn't lend itself to clip-on tuning. Very accurate, very easy to read. A bit expensive at $9.99 for the app, but a lot less than the hardware versions and you're buying the same technology.

I've been a fan of the ClearTune app for several years.

The Cleartune app has done me well as a backup tuner for years.

Pano on my phone is a great app when I have left my Kliq or Snark gets left at home. The main negative is tuning in a jam situation where other instruments will be picked up by the phone's mic. In a quiet situation, the sliders that indicate being in tune work better than the sliders in any of my click on tuners.

I use GString and Stroboscopic Tuner. Both pretty good, the strobe tuner is nice and has been very accurate as well.
