Default Brahms: Waltz in A-Flat Major

Johannes Brahms (1833-1897): Sixteen Waltzes (Op. 39)
15: Waltz in A-flat major (or A major)

This is one of Brahms's most famous piano pieces, originally published in A-flat major, with a simplified version in A major.

I have recorded this piece in a the attached arrangement for two mandolins and guitar from IMSLP at:

The arrangement is intended for two banjo mandolins (!) with banjo accompaniment, but in the interest of the sensitivities of the listener I have substituted two vintage Italian bowlback mandolins with tenor guitar backing. This version has been transposed to G major, which is easier on mandiolin.

    1890s Umberto Ceccherini mandolin
    1915 Luigi Embergher mandolin
    Vintage Viaten tenor guitar

Music washes away from the soul the dust of every-day life. Auerbach.
The rejection of 'the others' is a tragedy of the human being; If it comes from emigrants, an added horror!

Very pretty Jairo! Is that a different mando? Sounds like it to me.

    Yes Frank, it's a bowlback.
