    Default Passernig Oval Hole

Man, I will be having some strange dreams about this Passernig Oval. I love his take on the L&H through a modernistic lens. Especailly like the oblique oval hole. I wish I could try it or at least hear it played through a video. I love the details like the dark-stained back and the maple binding.

I am usually more of a traditionalist but his designs do appeal to me.

Really cool. Would love to hear it and play it too. The maple binding is gorgeous!

Where are the images from, Jim?

My Passernig F5 is ten years old this year, just had a refret. But I have a sense that he'd like to break out of the traditional mold more often if buyers would respond.

I was ogling that one myself Jim, I love the lines and look of that mandolin. I bought a Woodley here a few years ago with a unique sound hole, that was one nice mandolin. A tone bar braced oval with the sound hole on the side. Wonderful sound. Was going to post a pic, but must not have made if from the old computer.

Hey Jim, that is one of the coolest looking mandolins I have ever seen. Not crazy about the head stock but that is just me.

I would love to hear it too.

The link to Fiddler's Green seems to have dried up, meaning that someone most likely grabbed it (as well as the Passernig F5 that was in stock). I hope the guilty parties will fess up to their dastardly deeds.
