For the pre-1960's (1962 I think is the cutoff stuff, the JSP box sets are usually more affordable.

I'm a big Monroe fan but I don't have any box sets that cover after 1969. He still recorded some great music but a lot of the tracks are (1) available elsewhere more cheaply (Bean Blossom, Bluegrass 87, Cryin Holy Unto the Lord single CDs) or (2) retreads of classic songs for the fourth or fifth time and not, in my view, particularly essential (though the 1970s version of "Kentucky Waltz" is my favorite)
