More mass on the bridge? that have a tone advantage? I can 'chop' any chord muting at the bridge,
    it ruins that option.

Yeah, this gadget would have limited/no use for me and would get in the way. Maybe some others will find it useful.

Seems like the idea has merit. It'd be worth a try anyway.

It might work great for some people but, like Mandroid, I have too much activity near the bridge to use one. It is pretty, though.

I rest the heel of my palm on the top of the bridge - very lightly !. The added pressure is so small that it doesn't affect the tone/volume in any discernable manner. For folk who do likewise & end up with grooves in your hand where they pressed against the strings, something like this would solve that problem. It might also stop the strings just behind the bridge decoming discoloured if it raises the hand up just enough to clear the strings.

IMHO - It's a very neat idea. Easily fitted & removed, & for those of the 'acidic sweat' brotherhood,it could be just the thing to keep your strings alive for longer !,

I don't think I would have use for such a device myself but if it can help others then the idea has merit.

All I know on Uncle Gene's Loar his style plate doesn't hamper tone volume anything, nothing is touching anything except the small brackets that are drilled out to fit under saddle through the bridge/saddle screws.

Willy Hutch I think it's a great idea for the people who rest their hand on the bridge. Regarding the "adding mass to the bridge" issue, I don't think it's really an issue -- that extra piece of wood isn't going to add much mass in the first place, and in the second place, it might improve the sound on some instruments.

Personally, I wouldn't use your bridge cover because I don't rest my hand on the bridge, but I think it's a great idea for people who do rest their hands on their bridge (talk about adding mass!) and I want to thank you for sharing it with us. I hope some people find it useful and buy it from you!

I'm intrigued but not sure it's right for me.
I would rather see something that attaches via the strings just BEHIND the bridge instead. Keeps mass off the bridge and would mute those obnoxious overtones and get rid of the little rubber grommets.

I'm going to shut this down. What started as a question has become a straight out sales pitch. That is a violation of the posting guidelines.
