    Default Songs to learn/Sam Bush

Hello all, I was wondering first and foremost if anyone's has any songs that they would recommend as good to learn for either strumming or picking? I'm sort of a beginner/intermediate player who's just trying to improve. Also, if anyone has anything related to Sam Bush chords or tabs, that would be great. I love his incredibly rythmic style of playing.

    Thanks once again

    Well, Sam's thing is vast.

    Bluegrass Alliance
    Newgrass Revival
As sideman on loads of recordings
    His solo records
As a member of seminal recording outfits

He has put out tune books where his solos and breaks are tabbed out
Dave Peters' book has loads of breaks

Lots to choose from and enjoy, so...enjoy!

Yes, I'm well aware of Sam's catalogue. There is lots of stuff to choose from but I have always found that there is very little on the internet in terms of tabs. I suppose Dave Peters is the author of those books. Thanks for the recommendations.

"very little" can be subjective, so it's hard to tell whether you're aware of these 49 Bush tabs?

Also, do you have the Homespun Sam Bush stuff yet? If not, you can get them for a song by signing up at their maillist and being patient. They run continuous specials, and over 8 - 12 months I got all the Sam Bush stuff at healthy discounts.

If you haven't tried the tune, check out Poor Richard's Blues over at that mandozine link; it's really fun and he recorded that one even before the Bluegrass Alliance with Poor Richard's Almanac at about 17 years old.

No, I haven't gotten the Homespun stuff yet. I would like to at some point. You are right when you say "very little" can be subjective. I usually just go to google and look up tabs but I never really thought of the site you included. I suppose there is more on the web then I thought I'll make sure to give these a try.
