I was playing around tonight with bass, banjo and my Gibson (A-00 1933)
This is an old Swedish tune in my own arrangement

Interesting tune and arrangement. Beautifully played and recorded.
I'm playing all the right notes, but not necessarily in the right order. - Eric Morecambe

That was great! While I'm half-Swedish, I'm pretty clueless on the folk music. In my youth, we'd play the Swedish Christmas album and enjoy those particular tunes. Not much else.
A couple of years ago, my duet buddy and I worked up Horgalaten. So, there's that!
I take it the photo is the mandolin you playing? I also love my paddlehead A3. Yours sounds great too!
High regards!

Very nice, Pim. I am more familiar with Swedish fiddle music (polska, gånglåt, wedding tunes, etc.). Does this song have words?
My absolute favorite is Spelmansglädje as played by Eric Sahlström on nyckelharpa:

Yes it has words. (sorry couldn't find a translation)
But I found this recording our Monica Z did with some New York musiscians in the 60's.
Very enjoyable singing, even if you don't understand the language :-)
Yes, that's my mandolin in the picture.
I have never heard such tone in a mandolin I've tried before.
Love it!
