Default JBovier A5. Lots of mandolin for the money.

Just purchased a new JBovier A5 directly from Jeff Cowherd. After we had closed the deal Jeff had said to me, "Be patient and let me exceed your expectations." Exceed them, he did. I purchased one with a black top (spruce) and amber sides, back and neck (flamed maple). Tuners are Grover 309. Solid tailpiece. Even the custom case was more than I expected. The fit and finish are exceptional. Jeff's setup was outstanding. I purchased it from Jeff for the expressed reason that I could be sure he would do the setup. The sound is just great. Loud, (just the way I like it) with just a perfect balance between the highs, mids and lows. Outside of my Weber River F I've never owned a mandolin with such an outstanding set up. Wonderful playability also. Looking forward to owning this for a long time. Along with my Weber, this one is a real keeper. Included some photos.

Joey. I think it sounds even better than it looks. Jeff really does a great job. I'm glad I checked in with him finally. He backs up whatever he says and then some. Great build!

    Nice!
I've played a few JBovier mandolins and I'm quite pleased with my JBovier A5T. They really are a great value.
Post a sound clip when you get a chance.
    Enjoy!

I have a 2015 JBovier F5T that I got straight from Mr. Cowherd. Incredibly nice guy and an incredible instrument to play! I think you'll enjoy that mandolin for years!

Yes sir David. Jeff is a fine man to do business with. You are correct. Along with my Weber River F14 and another recent pickup, a Breedlove Legacy OF, this JBovier A5 is another keeper.
