Default 2 Blue Chip TD40 picks on eBay - I have no financial interest

DISCLAIMER: I have no financial interest in this listing and I am not the owner nor do I know the owner.
It is located in Florida and I am in Mid-TN. So I am only posting to let cafe members know in case they are interested.

There are 2 used Blue Chip TD40 guitar picks listed on eBay currently with just about 24 hours left. May end up being a good deal for 2 of em. I am watching but don't think I will need these picks. May be a want/need/or good deal for someone.

    I believe the 40 is a 1mm.

It's medium/thin. 40 means 40/1000 on an inch, which is about 1 mm. They're great for guitar because they have a bit of snap or flex to them but I think they're a little thin for the mandolin for my taste.

$37 bucks with 9 hours to go.....................looks like they are well on their way to bringing full (new) retail price

I prefer to use fingers, but... THAT much for a plectrum?

I have 4 Blue Chips. TD 40, 45, 50 and 60. For whatever reason they seem to have less give, play or flex than their counterparts of the same thickness, from other makers of picks. I can't explain it, except of the same thickness they seem stiffer. A TD40 or 1 MM Blue Chip pick just gives more string response than say a Gibson or a Dunlop of 1 MM thickness. Haven't looked at the auction but 15 bucks a piece for these would be great.
PS: They're at $54.00 combined for two. 27 a piece, 40 for a new one? They don't wear much as I can see, but getting a little pricey, still.

Tell you what. I have a couple of old Gibson heavy picks I had from back in the 1990's. My wife had them packed away and found them. The Gibson name and the "Heavy" are barely discernible at this point. Probably about 1.15MM. If it is a well made mandolin those picks can nurture as good a sound out of a mandolin as any. But I still bought some Blue Chips. Just because.
