    Default Song A Week Question

I'm new here and keep seeing reference to a Song A Werk project, but not figuring out exactly what it is and how to participate. Most likely it is for more advanced players, but thought it may be something I could follow and learn from. If there's a thread describing it, can you please offer a link? Thanks!

Learn/listen tab ar the top of the home page then socialgroups and then look for the song a week group you'll find it all there going back over 5 years. There's also a newbie group who do tune projects

Song a Week is for the fast learners. We plodders do Tune a Month in the Newbies group. We give ourselves plenty of time to giggle in between takes.

Song A week also lets you post tunes which are not the ones voted for in any particular week. if you want to share a tune, you are free to post it in the SAW group, and many of us do this as much as we post our versions of the selected tune.
And it's a very friendly environment for eveyone.

you can also reflect back on the 300 or more songs/tunes and add your own. A great resource to listen what others are doing with a tune and add your own take.

The best thing about the Song A Week Social Group, isn't so much if YOU can learn the official tune in a week. It's the resource of tunes! Check out the Table of Contents... the two main ones for tunes, are The Official Tune of the Week, and Other Tunes. We are currently up to week #423 in Official tunes, and well over 1000 "other tunes" that people that submitted! All skill levels are welcome! Even if you are just a beginner, there are MANY people who can help you... if just from watching and listening to their renditions!
