Pretty mandolin, at least from the backside.............but, $3500 opens up the field to a lot of great mandolin choices, IMHO.

For me, price is part of the appeal on Strad-O-Lins. It is cool to have a $200 or so mandolin that sounds better than its "paygrade" would indicate.

Same with my 60's Harmony Sovereign guitars -- they sound better than most 70's Martins that cost 4-5 times more money! Not, that 70's Martins were so great, but they weren't bad, either...

    Yeah, no kidding...
That's gotta set the record for a Strad-O-Lin, no?

Man I feel pretty good on paying 1850 for that Cromwell G-6 mando from 1937, 1 of maybe 9 made I want to say but could be wrong! It is pretty rare and sounds great to me for a top of the food chain budget Gibson brand with the "Gumby" pressed top and back! Nice wood on her too..

Sounds like we need a soundclip shootout -- Cromwell vs. Strad-O-Lin!!!

Heck, why not also throw in a KM 150, a Gibson Master Model, and maybe even a real signed Loar? They might not be THAT far apart -- then again, THEY MIGHT!

I have one just like it. I so hope it sells for that amount. It won't. It's also misdescribed as an Artist Model.

So-ooo, what value would you place on it, Mike...?
Nice woods, carved, etc.....it's gotta be up there with a nice Gibson A, right?
