    There is one in the classified and really looks nice. What is it? I've never heard of this. Thanks

    The first year or so they were assembled in USA from Japanese parts. Then they were transferred to the Epiphone line.

    One was floating around this area for a long time that was a better mandolin than it was "supposed" to be. That one was actually quite a bit better than the F-5G that went through my local shop last year. But I guess I should add that a new mid-level Eastman was also better than the F-5G.

    I actually kind of liked the look of the brown finish on the Nouveau. I don't know whether the back was solid wood or not.
