    Default Tyler White F-5

Greetings Mandolin Lovers! So I received a mandolin crafted by Tyler White of Pinehouse Guitars about two weeks ago and figured now that I've spent some time with it, I'd show it off a little. It's Tyler's 6th build and is constructed with a Carpathian spruce top and sugar maple back, sides, and neck. It has gold evo fretwire, a gold James tailpiece, and gold Grover 309 tuners (which I've been very impressed with). Tyler says he tells people that his mandolins look flawless from 4 feet away, but that upon further inspection one could notice some finishing flaws. I'm going to say that mine looks flawless from 1 foot away and if you really started inspecting it there are some areas that are not perfect. However, given the way this mandolin plays and sounds, I haven't thought about those imperfections for a second. Any who, I'll post some pictures that Tyler sent me and two Youtube videos that I shot using my iPhone while taking a "break" at work. Any of you that are looking for an affordable F-5, I'd say give Tyler a good long look.
