Default Quite the week for NGR stuff

In one week, I've been blessed to:

    - jam with a band in Greensboro a few days ago where Ebo Walker was sitting in front of the stage, had a chance to chat with him
    - pick at a jam last night where Courtney Johnson's banjo was in tow. It's a 50's pot with a neck he built and did the inlay for (with his wife Hazel). This banjo was used on the 1975 Starday LP.

    Absolutely!

I swear, the back of the neck - banjo, arch top guitar, mandolin, fiddle, whatever - may be the best visual vehicle for curly maple (Shaker chair or table legs are a tie or close second). Dead sexy.
