Thread: "Bistro Fada" from Midnight in Paris (2011)

Default "Bistro Fada" from Midnight in Paris (2011)

    Hope y'all enjoy this. (Youtube)

My mandolin uses super-light-gauge guitar strings, and is permanently tuned one whole-step low, so I use a capo to play in correct tuning. (Capo 2 for me equals no capo for everyone else)

You can listen to/download the audio from SoundCloud.

    Thank you for you appreciation.

My good man @Frankdolin, I'm not in control of the ads. Youtube apparently adds those damn ads in to anything. In both videos I keep getting a 'licensing notification' or something. How can I get rid of the ads?

And anyway, you miss the video, your loss. There isn't another mandolin cover of Bistro Fada (or Blackbird) on Youtube that's as nice as mine - and I'm sure others can do it better, but no one has, yet. :-)

I did like that, very well done and a good tone. FWIW I didn't get an ad.

May I ask where did you found the music?

I found it on the MuseScore website. Downloaded that and took out the unnecessary stuff and changed a few notes here and there to make it easier to play.

Thanks, I found a Musescore version, when I did a Google search, which had a few notes at least that weren't playable. It will hopefully learn something comparing the two.

The chords willbbe good practice on the tenor guitar too
