Old Hometown, Cabin Fever String Band
Total scam. I looked at some of his other listings and he has some of the rarest electric guitars known to mankind for "sale" also for the buy it now price of $2350 -- stuff that vintage dealers ask $10-20K for! I'm not sure what his angle is, but it is a scam, for sure.
The Seller name on the sold history relates to someone in Sussex, Uk.......this listing appears to have hi-jacked their account.
Helped out a friend a few years ago when he was conned into sending funds in the Uk for a motorbike via a similar 'scam' on a hi-jacked identity.
Just report the listing by clicking on the report link. If they get enough for the listing thy actually look at it. If they only get mine they figure I'm an idiot. Keep in mind eBay wants to make money so they allow things to stay in the off chance they'll get paid.

Maybe the Cafe should take the link to it off the main page, describing it as a 'great price'.

"Who knows what the final price will be, but one thing is for sure--The high bidder will definitely win the auction!!" -- Something about that line makes me chuckle

The latest bid was just about an hour ago, high bid is now up to $1.4k+. I put the auction on my watch list this morning and I still have access to it thru that.
FYI, I reported it too, about six hours ago. The link above in the post #1 works for me as of now.

I have just rung the (genuine) Ebayer. He's an elderly Gent, runs his operation to support his pension. He's had a day and a half on to Ebay to try to get the bogus listings deleted from his account - which he now has.....along with "about 400" of his own, which he is hoping to see re-instated. He's had 4 phone calls from people concerned to tell him that something is amiss and a substantial number of email contacts and he is very grateful for the interest shown.
It's back. Along with a lot of other potentially hi value stuff. Really strange. Many duplicate listings (each of which are drawing bids). 24 hour listings. If this guy is not a scam, he needs help.
I don't know whether to hit the "report" link again or not. Kinda hate to pick on an old toot.

I actually found a way to report the account and explain what was going on this morning. It took me about a half an hour to find the link. This account has many instruments up.
