Haven't tried the gold series yet. I really like the acrylics, extra large Axis shape, with elliptical hole, in 2 and 3 mm thickness.

However as a former navy ET

I'm tempted to get the Axis gold....at $40 for a 2.5 mm pick!

I haven't tried the golds either, but do like the acrylic "stealth" triangles in 3mm and 4mm. Love the smooth, long bevels. It's funny (peculiar) how you have to order them in "XL" to get a regular sized pick, though.

The Gold Series are really quite nice. I got a 1.5mm Tripp a while back and on first impression thought it looked and felt cheap... but the instant I tried it, I was smiling. It's among my handful of favourite picks, just a shame the UK distributor doesn't stock the XLs... the Standard is a bit too much on the small side for me :/

How do the Gold Series compare to Wegen, Primetone, and BC in terms of tone, attack, and click? And bevel? It looks like a symmetrical bevel rather than a speed bevel, but it also looks more accentuated than a round bevel.

Personally I get on with the bevel just fine, even though I am more used to a right hand bevel on Blue Chip, Wegen, Primetone etc. I find it pulls a very strong tone and loud volume from my Eastman. Haven't noticed much pick click, all that bugs me is the small size of the Standard...hopefully we'll get the XLs in the UK eventually...

I bought one of these Gravity Gold Series picks just over 2 years ago when they were first introduced. I posted a review and comparison here.

I'm not crazy about the bevels on my Gravity Gold 1.5mm picks.

Just returned from a two-week trip and my new Gravity Gold series 2.5 mm extra large Axis picks were waiting for me. Good pick, but not $40 good. The tone with my Wegen M250 is better, with less pick noise. When I want a brighter tone I still prefer the Gravity acrylic.
