    I can't say for sure - but I would imagine that they must be 'Finger-Lickin'-Good' . . .

Got it. Their version of STARDUST is pretty righteous. Seriously.

I'll have to look up my old 70's Aria two-point more closely. Maybe there's some hidden switch? At least I now know where this nervous tingling during restringing came from.

Titles like that, always make me think of the old advert joke - ''Piano wanted by lady with carved legs''. It's the word arrangement.
When i think of 'Romantic' mandolin music, one tune always springs to mind, the theme from ''Doctor Zhivago'' (Lara's Theme) - played on Balalaika. Here's a bit about it :- "One of the main reasons the theme is featured in so many tracks is that David Lean (producer) had hired an impromptu balalaika orchestra from several Russian Orthodox Churches in Los Angeles; the musicians could only learn 16 bars of music at a time, and could not read written music."

Such music has it's own attraction & i like it very much. I can imagine a mandolin Orchestra playing it beautifully & romantically,

    Lebeda F-5 "Special".

    Tokai - 'Tele-alike'.

There seems to be a strong hint that "romantic" is an anagram for "improper pick grip"...

I had a French teacher say the mandolin was for romance. I was like, not violin? But she was adamant that it was the mandolin and nothing else. Something about woo'ing ladies outside their windows or something, I don't know, I wasn't really paying attention as I was headed outside to play the mandolin

to be honest most guitar players i've seen play just to pick up girls. like sing along next to a camp fire, you know the whole package . so if i were to pick the sexiest instrument i would pick the guitar (just look at a julio iglesias concert and watch the girls go nuts) but a mandolin with a accordion playing "that's amore" in a restaurant in Naples , now that is romantic

Well the book, and movie, were called 'Captain Corelli's Mandolin' not 'Captain Corelli's Banjo', or god help us 'Captain Corelli's Uke'.

Something tells me that standing outside a young lady's window and ripping off the intro to Roanoke isn't going to be very effective.

Did anyone else notice the f hole/ center hole combo? Why aren't Luthiers making this design anymore? Then you could play Bluegrass, jazz, classical, and Irish all in one big song mashup!

All musical instruments are romantic, even the triangle. OK, maybe not the banjo.
