Default The Cucoo's Nest for plucked string ensemble

Hello! I run a mandolin orchestra here near Bath, and have been making arrangements of tuns for them for a couple of years now. Recently I have begun recording a few of these myself, and below you can find an arrangement of the traditional Welsh tune The Cuckoo's Nest, written for two Mandolins, acoustic guitar and acoustic bass.

The mandolin is a Phil Davidson A4 that used to belong to Rob Badger (Lord of the Badgers here). The guitar is in CGCGCD, and is a custom Brook Tavy model. The acoustic bass is also a Brook, a custom Otter.

Hope this might interest some people. I have a complete score of this, and if you can't find a guitarist who plays in CGCGCD, I also have an octave mandolin part.

Well done! I enjoyed both the audio and the video.

Thank you Honketyhank, Andy and Jeremy

Jeremy we should compare notes and compare what pieces our bands play. I've just today finally finished tweaking an arrangement of Every Little Thing She Does for the same line up of instruments. Will try and record it this week,

We seem to have inherited a mish mash of tunes from the old BMG orchestras, and I have been slipping in a few tunes from Evelyn's arrangements that she has shared on here, together with some from Tosh's Self Help Group in London.
