Thread: Mandolin Runner

    Default Mandolin Runner

I am running the Virgin Money London Marathon playing my Moon Guitars A Type mandolin. I shall be using a customised Mothercare baby harness with a mobile amplifier in a running belt of the type used by teachers in large classes or with hard of hearing children. I am running for MIND a U.K. mental health charity (well a localised branch of it called TOG MIND) who as part of the Heads Together Group of charities are the official VMLM charity this year. Princes Harry and William along with Princess Kate are supporting the Heads Together efforts and I am proud to be a mandolinist doing my best to keep things going. My site is http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/mandolinrunner

    Wow.

You must pick "Walk, Don't Run", by Johnny Smith...

I will play that just for you AlanN. I feel to play and run I must at least attempt to accompany all 41 bands en route. I feel I should also play Rod Stewart's "I Am Sailing" when headed past the Cutty Sark and "Sloop John B" at the finish line, if only for the refrain "I want to go home"
