    Default Spring batch

    From top to bottom:

    * 17 fret 8 string mandolin (vavona / redwood burr).
    * Short, 19" scale OM (quilted maple).
    * Long scale, 640mm zouk (quilted maple).

I'm really looking forward to seeing how the maple turns out, as it has some series quilting:

Would this be now my Octave Mandolin, John?

Anyways, what can I say... this beast is a LOT of fun, and it's beautifully made. Sounds awesome. Looks amazing. Exactly what I was hoping for. john is a total gentleman too - pleasure to deal with. I had some banking woes (still need to sort that internet banking out!) but it was no bother. Topped off with a saunter around dartmoor on the way home

Just wish I could justify the zouk too... but... sadly not - it was ruddy brilliant too

    Thumbs up Re: Spring batch

Thanks Rob, glad you're having fun, hope your bandmates have recovered from the shock of a fully "Electric Badger" and that no one wielded the axe, Pete Seeger style

BTW, Rob brought a very interesting Mellotron pedal with him for testing which I was really quite taken with...

I've posted these already in another thread, but for posterity, here' the photos of the finished OM and Zouk, the mandolin shown in the original post is still waiting for it's finish to stop shrinking before I rub and buff, so more on that another time...
