Temecula Valley Bluegrass Festival 2017

After a one year hiatus resulting in a different format, Temecula Valley is once again hosting a bluegrass festival April 28-30 at the Tucalota Creek Ranch on Benton Rd.

Full RV camping/hookups and also tent camping available, feautures events and workshops as well.

Jeff Scroggins and Colorado are the headliners with several local bands among which my band, Desperado, will be performing either Sat morning at 11AM or Friday afternoon at 3PM.

Cafe veteran Shaun Garrity is rumored to show up, should be good for pickin/jamming, family friendy...

Yup... We are really glad that Tim Moyer has taken this project up, we're hoping that it will be tremendously successful. We'll be arriving for camping sometime on Friday. Btw, for RVs they are offering a limited number of full hookups (10), and a larger number of dry camping spaces (120).

Our band (Sweet Tidings Gospel Jam) will be playing two Gospel sets there on Sunday, one at 10am and one at 1pm. Fun!

Sounds like a good local festival. Scroggins will 'play all night', and is a fun guy to jam with, as I did at IBMA one year and also at the Brandywine festival in S. Jersey.

Update on Desperado:

We've confirmed with Tim Moyer that we will be definitely be playing the Sat 11AM set on the main stage, leading off the shenanigans for the day...LOL!

Festival was great, especially for a re-boot. A real cool, unique site that combined a winery with a horserach, RV population was well represented, good grassy tent campground with spirited jamming, nice vendor selection, and a unique main stage area/set-up.
