I tried to fill it out and it froze twice, but I'd gotten to the third question and realized I had no idea who any of these people were, except some vague remembrance from when I was younger and deliberately ignoring pop music. Sigh. I mean, I know the Beatles, but really? When it comes to pop music from my era (I graduated high school in 1972), i'm as innocent as someone born five years ago!

As my results show. it says I'm 23 years old! Lordy, what's 40 years among friends!

They missed mine by 8 years.

Not sure how this was supposed to gauge my taste in music, though... It just seemed like a test to see if you remembered certain things or recognized artists. And it was all pop music. Bleh.

    Great thread.

I also ran out of questions that I could actually answer, so I guessed.

They say I'm 65, off by 3 years, but close enough to hurt.

It thinks I am 4 years older than I am, but I'm a classic rocker and "eternal flower child" (per my sister.) Oh well - I also like classical music - does that make me 200+ years old?

I am 73; they guessed I was 23. Fifty years off.

Maybe because I enjoy Gorillaz, Whip It by Devo, and the pre-Sgt. Pepper Beatles? Dunno. Should I be flattered? Hell, my kids are significantly older than that!

Got me within a year (the site called it 65, I'm 64). That's both amazing and depressing.

Maybe it would have been even closer if I wasn't taking a wild stab at the question "Pick a one-hit wonder from 1980." You've got to be kidding me. I was listening to much more obscure stuff than radio hits by that time.

Off by 6 years -- put me at 71. Trouble was, I liked all of the Beatles "eras." And The Doors. And Columbia House. The rest, I was sort of "meh," just pick something.

Said I was 52, I'm 37. I had a hard time picking between Madonna and The Doors on the "love" song. Had I gone Madonna, it may have been closer.
