    Default Danilo Brito

If you're in NE OH or SE MI Sunday, Brito will be performing at the Toledo Museum of Art at 3PM. Never would of heard of him if not for Mandolin Cafe's MP3 library. Thanks Cafe!

I believe he is one of the few choro bandolimists who has stuck to the 8 string bandolim. Phenomenal player, of course! I hope that he shows up in my area one day.

Just finished reading the chapter in Graham's book on bandolims and I want one so bad! I remember this Tiny Desk. One of my all-time favorites.

I am not overly familiar with Choro or the bandolim in general but Jacob do Bandolim, who I first heard play this music,(thanks to Dawg) and another great player,Elisa, from the group Choro das 3 play 8-stringers.

What is the more common number of strings for Choro bandolims?
