    Default A Little Tune

Hey all - this past week I was asked in class to write a song with some classmates and decided to bring my mandolin along.

This song was completely improvised with the restriction being no 1-4-5 chord progressions and a major/minor modulation necessary.

Let me know what you think/what I could work on!

This is cool and a great composition exercise. I think you should take the best parts of it and write a song. Now and then you choose notes which don't support the harmony in the best way possible. Of course, its expected because its improvised. Find those places, examine and rearrange them. Maybe write a revision. Also, I'd try crosspicking arpeggio notes as a way to play rhythms, and strummed figures to change the feel.
