Anyone know of any jams, shows or other Bluegrass related fun going on around the area this time of year?

Not really. Back near Savannah. But this is just a beautiful area though. Wife and I vacationed here couple of years ago in May, and she's going back this May. Randy Woods place in Bloomingdale is about 75 miles away. Maybe call there. 912-748-1930.

I spend 2 weeks on the golden isles every May myself ... 1 week on Jekyll and 1 on Saint Simons!... Great spot to vacation!... if you find anything out, send me a PM!

Thanks guys. I was in that area for a week or so on business. Always bring a mandolin if at all possible. I'd hoped to find something, maybe a Jam or a Bluegrass bar-band etc. (I guess I figured if Bill had the tune of Jekyll Island, there was hope of finding something.) No luck; at least not while I was there. Beautiful area though. Great food and nice people. Hard to beat that.
I was just looking at Randy Wood's website and I read there that they have a Jam every Saturday afternoon in their Picking Parlour, if I can't make time that Saturday I'm there in May, I may try to go check out the place during the 2nd week while I'm on Saint Simons.
