    Default Finish question

I have a saga f type mandolin kit that I am working on. I would like to finish it with stew mac clear matte laquer in aerosol cans, applied over their sanding sealer.
MyMyquestion is, what do I do about the binding...should I consider
masking them off or spray over them and then, scrape
    Them... Seems kind of Crude?

No need to keep the finish off of the bindings. We normally finish right over the bindings.

    Thanks for the reply John.

Would the same go with an unbound fretboard? I have an A and F with unbound fretboards. So would I tape up to the edge so the sides of the undound fretboard are lacquered?

    thanks!
