There is a monthly acoustic bluegrass jam on the first Tuesday of each month. It's held from 7:00 to 10:00 P.M. at T.R. Brennen's Restaurant on Hanover Street. Email me if you want to be put on the jam mailing list.

I'm in Wolfeboro so it would be a bit of a haul. (1-hour each way) but maybe we could jam sometime now that the Concord Community Music School jams are over for the summer.

I should really be practicing instead of sitting in front of the computer.
Hey can any of you tell me where to get some lessons. I live in merrimack nh. Im not looking for anything major just some direction. thanks Brett
You could call the Concord Community Music School in Concord, they have a good instructor. There is also a mando teacher at Acoustic Outfitters Music Shop in Stratham. There is a music store in Concord, I think the name is Steve's. He was telling me the other day about a guy who has been teaching for 18 years who will come to your house or meet you at the music store. You should come to the Manchester jam, more people would know about lessons.

Got excited when I saw Manchester until I realised it was the one in America!
Anyhow, there are also loads of sessions in Manchester UK. For bluegrass type stuff check out the Rising Sun in Mossley on Tuesday evenings.
For celtic, check out
Manchester sessions

I believe the person you are refering to for both places is one and the same, David Surette. If you don't know him, he is a great player (guitar as well) with many recordings (solo and with groups) under his belt. His web site is: http://www.burkesurette.com/
