    Hi,
I saw Dan Hicks and the Hot Licks the other night at Villa Montalvo in Saratoga, CA. He's definitely "still alive and lickin."
I guess he was my main introduction to swingin' acoustic music way back in the 70s. I'm forever grateful for that.

Does anybody know if there are any mando tabs out there for some of his better known songs?
"You Got To Believe" is the one I'd really like to find. I can kind of figure out part of it, but I'm still not too good at that stuff.
    Thanks,
    Chuck

    chuck-
i can't help you with tab, but i just wanted to chime in. dan was my intro to swing music way back in the early 70's too. i think that the mandolin solo on "where's the money" was my introduction to non-bluegrass mandolin.

"Canned music, canned music, heard it on the radio!"

I've got one of their albums from thirty (oh my, forty?)or so years ago...guess I'm going to have to dig it out!

    Cheers!

there;s a great dvd of dan's (60th ?) birthday bash that i bought recently. it's got just about everybody that ever played with dan all on stage together. the best part is the songs he does with the old hot licks.
