Thread: Can Anyone Play "Under the Milky Way"?

Default Can Anyone Play "Under the Milky Way"?

I've looked all over this forum and Youtube for covers of The Church's slower 2004 version of Under the Milky Way, but I can't find anything. I think it would sound great on mandolin but I can't even find a guitar version anywhere.
I think its just the chords in a fingerpicking style but I can't seem to figure it out. If anyone knows how this is played and could give me something to go on it'd be very much appreciated.

To be clear, this is the version I'm talking about

Great song! I like this cover a lot. You could play all the "bell"parts. That'd be cool

Also, here are the chords for the original version...

    Am... Am7... Fmaj7... G... (verses)
    G... Fmaj7... (chorus)

It sounds like the acoustic version you posted is using the same chords but finger picking on a 12 string guitar.

    I hope that helps

Thanks, Zach! I think I'll have figure it out on guitar and transfer to mandolin.
That's a pretty neat cover, too. Needs a mando though!
