Default Quadriglia & Sbrando, Northern Italian dances

Quadriglia & Sbrando (trad. Northern Italian dance tunes)
    Arranged by Evelyn Tiffany-Castiglioni
From "Evelyn's Big Book for Mandolins for 2015", available from Amazon.

These are two Northern Italian dance tunes in 6/8 time, which I have played as solo mandolin tunes for a while -- they're from the ABC collection discussed in this thread (PDF in post #25).

This new recording has a full dance band arrangement (thanks, Evelyn!), played on two mandolins and two tenor guitar. Played as a set, starting on the quadriglia and going straight into the sbrando.

Apologies that the images are mainly of Southern Italian dancing -- I couldn't find good images for the correct dance styles.

    1890s Umberto Ceccherini mandolin
    Mid-Missouri M-0W mandolin
    Vintage Viaten tenor guitar
    Ozark tenor guitar

Thank you for posting your delightful recordings and images, Martin. You have certainly captured the joy in these two tunes. My contra dance band plays them at a slightly faster jig tempo for contra dances and the dancers love them; they are so full of life.

    Best wishes,
    Evelyn
