    Eric Coates (1886-1957): By The Sleepy Lagoon (1930)

    This is a famous light classical piece written in 1930, which has been the theme tune of "Desert Island Discs" on BBC Radio 4 since 1942. Lyrics were added in 1940, and it became a Number One hit in the US.

    This is a trio arrangement for mandolin, mandola (octave mandolin) and guitar.
