Molto bene, Hany. Thanks for posting that. Nice tune, I'm going to learn that one.

I found a keyboard version on IMSLP. What book are you playing from? Is there any available music for mandolin and guitar?

    Very nicely played, Hany!

Jim: under the tune's alternative name "La Mantovana", there are two versions in four-part harmony (plus guitar chords) at Steve Hendricks' website, which can be easily adapted to mandolin/guitar.

    Score in G
    Score in F

Thanks, Martin. I did find that one. I also found this version with guitar chords written out:

Not to take away from Hany, but I did find this beautiful vocal rendition with original(?) instruments.

Hi Jim, we did use the keyboard version on IMSLP (http://imslp.org/wiki/File:PMLP57362...ova_33.2.9.pdf)
The guitar player wrote the chords he was using based on it.

Gaetano Greco (1657-1728): Ballo di Mantova
From a harpsichord manuscript (Napoli, Biblioteca del Conservatorio "San Pietro a Majella", ms. 33.2.9, c. 13v)

Having now played both tunes, I don't think the tune Hany is playing is related to the much more famous "La Mantovana", which is also known by the alternative name "Ballo di Mantova". Thanks to Hany for pointing us towards this piece!

Here is my recording, adapted to a tenor guitar duet from the harpsichord original. Second guitar is simply playing the keyboard bass part, no added chords.
