Anyone have any experience with one of these?
There's a used one in a store near here for $450. #The bridge needs a bit of adjustment to correct the intonation, but otherwise it seems like kind of a nice little mandolin for the money.

I owned a Godin A8 for a little while. They play nice, but not a lot of oomph acoustically. Plugged in, they sound really nice. While probably not for your bluegrass band, I played mine in a rock combo, and it worked like a champ. If you're looking for a decent instrument to play primarily plugged in, I'd go for it. $450 is a great price. I seem to recall that the bridge is fixed (I could be wrong about that), so adjusting it could be a chore. Make sure you're happy with the way it plays before you carry it out of the store.
I had one, theyre decent. dry its a nice piezo-electric tone.
bolt on neck, glued on bridge, there ia a signal wire coming out of each pickup , so if you are going to alter the shape of the slot that the pickup piece sits,[intonation would be, logically, adjusted with that method] youre going to have to desolder it from the volume / tone control board. and draw the pickup/lead wire out of the bridge first.
the round cover on the back will access the board.

Thanks!
Hmmm...
The bridge setup does change the landscape a bit.
The E & A strings were pretty bad at the octave...
Maybe it's the strings? (hopeless MAS lament)
One last question: Did it come w/ a case?
Depends on the seller, looked at 2 at the time . yes/no
reg shaped F cases work.
bolt on neck shimming brings the action down , so pulldown pitch shifting is less, in percentages.
