Just finished up this new A.
Just finished up this new A.
Looking sharp, Jim!
This was recorded on the Ipad but sounds pretty good to me.
I like the shape! Is that a Loar type body shape? or something original you drew up? i dont know if its because of the angle but it looks a little stouter

Stumbling Towards Competence
I love the sunburst!! It's perfectly done and the colors are simply gorgeous. Great work Jim. Me want one.....

Thanks for all the kind responses. That sunburst is the result of doing what Mike Kemnitzer showed me in 1981 over and over again.
Jim, what are the colour dyes you used in your sunburst or is that a trade secret?
Nic Gellie
I've always used pre-mixed dyes made by a company in Denver called Paint and Lacquer Supply. Might be a bit of a long trip for you, Nick.
The color is sprayed on using a 35 year old Binks touch-up gun. Old but with relatively low hours on it. Finished off with Seagraves lacquer.
Very nice Jim!
