    Thumbs up

Bought the Monroes sometime last week. I put them on Easter mornin. Great strings. They got right in tune and stayed in tune. I had to beat the D'Addario's to death to keep them in tune.

They have great sound and i think im sticking with the Monroes for a while.

Feel free to share your oppinons.

i have one mandolin that absolutely loves the monroes. they work great on some, they are average on others. i've tried EVERY string out there over the years on all sorts of mandos (&other insts) and its true that some instruments work well with certain strings...cant really explain it.
they definately have a powerful sound.
i usually keep a set around, but they are like $2 more than the J74/75 so i'll usually go with the D'As.

For some reason, Gibson Monroes sound terrible on my Gibson mandolins. They are harsh and tinny whereas Bush strings, J74s and JS74s sound great. I think each instrument has different needs. But of course this has been true for every stringed instrument I have owned.
